Nazil District

Nazil District (Persian: بخش نازیل) is in Taftan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Nazil.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Nazil Rural District of the former Nukabad District of Khash County) was 10,573 in 2,491 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 9,335 people in 2,161 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 11,097 inhabitants in 3,201 households.[2]

In 2018, Nukabad District was separated from Khash County, elevated to the status of Taftan County, and divided into three districts, with the city of Nukabad as its only city and capital of the new county. Nazil Rural District was elevated to the status of a district.[3]
