Parud, Rask

Parud (Persian: پارود) is a city in, and the capital of, Parud District of Rask County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[3]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,841 in 584 households, when it was a village in Sarbaz County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,128 people in 693 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,997 people in 751 households.[2]

After the census, three districts were separated from Sarbaz County to establish Rask County, with the city of Rask as its capital.[3] After establishment of the county, the village of Parud was raised to the status of a city.[6]
