Qaqazan-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان قاقازان غربي) is in the Central District of Takestan County, Qazvin province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 7,332 in 1,805 households.[3] There were 6,057 inhabitants in 1,822 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,412 in 1,403 households. The largest of its 22 villages was Kaneshkin, with 976 people.[2]
