Ro'im et Hakol

Ro'im et Hakol (Hebrew: רואים את הקול, English: Seeing the voice)[1][2] is an Israeli television mystery music game show series based on South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. Since its premiere on 28 February 2023,[3][4][5][6] it has aired two seasons on Keshet 12.

Gameplay

Format

Presented with a group of "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[lower-alpha 1]

Rewards

If the singer is good, he/she will have release a digital single; if the singer is bad, he/she wins ₪20,000.

The guest artist is given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.[lower-alpha 2][lower-alpha 3]

Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to a recording of their own performance, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else.[lower-alpha 2][lower-alpha 3]

The guest artist is presented with a video package in which one of the mystery singers discusses their life and musical qualifications.[lower-alpha 2][lower-alpha 3]

The guest artist may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.[lower-alpha 2][lower-alpha 3]

Background

Keshet Media Group formally announced its development of the show in July 2022,[9][10] as it follows the successful broadcasts of HaZamar b'Masekha.[11][12] It is produced by Gil Productions; the staff team is managed by producers Ziv Bezalel, Assaf Gil and Gilad Malkin; and director Alon Aloosh.

Broadcast history

Ro'im et Hakol debuted on 28 February 2023. Emulating the situation did in the Belgian Dutch-language counterpart, it was prematurely ended on 14 March 2023, a week before occupying with Ninja Israel to continue its fifth season broadcasts. Also, the remaining episodes would subsequently create its second season, premiering on 14 August 2023.[lower-alpha 1]

The 1st season has originally conducted as a single season running for 6 weeks, with a tentative [6th episode] finale on 4 April 2023.[3][4] Suddenly, Ninja Israel did occupy its timeslot to continue the 5th season broadcasts on 21 March 2023[13] caused the show to split into two, with the first half (as the proper 1st season) on 28 February 2023,[5][6] and the second half (which would later become the 2nd season) on 14 August 2023.[14][15]
