Sarbaz District

Sarbaz District (Persian: بخش سرباز) is a former administrative division of Sarbaz County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Sarbaz.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 80,570 in 15,792 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 72,346 people in 15,695 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 91,274 inhabitants in 22,634 households.[2]

After the census, Kishkur Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Kishkur District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Machan Rural District. Minan Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Minan District, which was also divided into two rural districts, including the new Kazur Rural District. Naskand Rural District was separated in the establishment of Naskand District, which was also divided into two rural districts, including the new Balochi Rural District. Sarbaz and Sarkur Rural Districts, and the city of Sarbaz, were transferred to the Central District.[5]
