Takab Rural District (Persian: دهستان تكاب) is in Barrud District of Kuhsorkh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Avandar.

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Kuhsorkh District of Kashmar County) was 5,772 in 1,482 households.[4] There were 4,857 inhabitants in 1,470 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,384 in 1,338 households. The largest of its 59 villages was Avandar, with 996 people.[2]

Kuhsorkh District was separated from Kashmar County in 2018 to become Kuhsorkh County and divided into two districts and four rural districts, with Rivash as its capital and only city. Takab Rural District became a part of the newly established Barrud District.[3]
