Amphisbaena alba Linnaeus, 1758: 229

  • Syntypes (2): NRM 129 and 130 (formerly MAFR), obtained by Dahlberg and donated to King Adolf Fredrik in 1754.
  • Type locality: “America”, restricted to “the confluence of the Cottica River and Perica Creek, Surinam” by Hoogmoed (1973: 42).

  • Amphisbaena flavescens Wied-Neuwied, 1824: 670
    • Lectotype: AMNH R–1098. [designated by Gans (1962: 7)]
    • Type locality: “Sertong von Bahia und in der Gegend des Flusses Belmonte, so wie des Mucuri gefunden”, restricted by lectotype designation to “the mouth of the Mucurí River” by Gans (1962: 7).
