- Holotype: UNAM-LT H 3454, adult ♂, collected on 29 June 1997 by Miguel Angel de la Torre-Loranca.
- Type locality: “Cerro de Petlalcala, Municipio San Andres Tenejapan, Veracruz, México, 18" 47' N and 97" 06' W at 2100 m. The locality is 10 km south of the town of Orizaba, Veracruz”.
