Name

Coprosma intertexta G.Simpson, Trans. & Proc. Roy. Soc. N. Z. 75: 194 (1945)

  • Type: 'in the Herbarium Plant Research Bureau, Wellington, from a plant in cultivation'.
  • Type locality: [New Zealand. South Island:] Central Otago, near Kyeburn, Swineburn[Swinburn] Valley, hill faces amongst strewn rock.
    • Note: In the specimen notes of CHR 63000 (A, with female flowers and B, with immature male flowers, both collected by G. Simpson), D. Glenny states that one of them should be designated as the neotype since CHR has no cultivated plant of the type from Kyeburn. Apart from them, AK houses two 'cotypes'[= syntypes] collected by G. Simpson (AK22885 & AK211649) and WELT stores a non-type specimen collected in Kyeburn by G. Simpson (SP060159).
