Fossil range: Lower Jurassic; Hettangian.

Holotype: MNHNL HE425.

Type locality: Fontenoille, Belgium; level c of Delsate et al. (2002), Liasicus Zone, Hettangian, Early Jurassic.

Paratypes: MNHNL HE426 and MNHNL HE427.

Etymology: named after Robert Weis, author's friend and colleague.
