Type locality: Alsen quarry, Lägerdorf, Germany; Galerites vulgaris Zone, late Campanian, Late Cretaceous.
Paratypes: GZG.INV.78606 and GZG.INV.78607.
Etymology: named after Regina Fischer who provided the sample yielding the type material of the species.
