Name

Ophioderma phoenium H.L. Clark, 1918

Etymology: from Ancoent Greek φοίνιος (blood-red), refers to the color of the disc.
Type locality: Buccoo reef, Tobago. Carnegie Expedition, April 1916.
Holotype: MCZ OPH-4165
Paratypes: MCZ OPH-4166; OPH-4207
