pleased to meet you (literally: I am very pleased)
(colloquial, ironic, sarcastic) (of well known facts introduced as novel)
—Ξέρειες, έχει κάνει δύο πλαστικές εγχειρίσεις. —Χαίρω πολύ, κάτι μας είπες τώρα. Είναι πασίγνωστο.
—Xéreies, échei kánei dýo plastikés encheiríseis. —Chaíro polý, káti mas eípes tóra. Eínai pasígnosto.
—Have you heard? She has had two plastic surgeries. —Thanks for that, I didn't know (!) It is well-known.

For goodbye we use past tense: χάρηκα πολύ (chárika polý, “I was very pleased (to meet you)”)
