Subject: National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Public Meeting to be held on December 13, 2005, to Continue Discussions of Concepts for Standards for Approval of Respirators for Use Against Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Agents (CBRN) and Concepts for Standards for a Multi-Function Powered, Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) - Docket Numbers NIOSH-008, NIOSH-010, and NIOSH-039

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is planning to conduct a public stakeholder meeting on December 13, 2005 , at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel, 300 West Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania . The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will adjourn by 5:00 p.m. The meeting will address concepts for standards for CBRN Closed-Circuit, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), CBRN Powered, Air-Purifying Respirator, and a Multi-Function PAPR. Detailed information will be provided in the federal register announcement that will be posted in the near future.

Interested parties should make hotel reservations directly with the Sheraton Station Square Hotel (412-261-2000 or 1-800-325-3535) before the cut-off date of December 1, 2005 . You must reference the NIOSH Public Meeting to receive the special group rate of $91 per night that has been negotiated for meeting guests. Directions for the hotel are also posted on the website.
