Impetigo herpetiformis is a form of severe pustular psoriasis that occurs in pregnancy.[1] It typically presents in late pregnancy with a fever and generalised redness with pustules.[2][3]

Diagnosis is by signs and symptoms, and skin biopsy.[2] Blood tests typically reveal low calcium and high white cells.[2] Treatment may require corticosteroids by mouth.[1] It resolves following birth of the baby, but may recur in subsequent pregnancies.[1] Impetigo herpetiformis may harm the baby.[2]
