Medics are what keeps a team in the game during a Nerf war. Having one or two of these is a tremendous help in keeping your team ready for battle. This article will show you how to help keep you and your team alive and well in a Nerf war.

Steps

  1. 1
Decide on a way to revive people. This could be via the method used in the article, which is tapping someone on the shoulder, or it can be the method of high-fiving someone to revive them.
    • It's important to let your team know you are the medic, so people aren't confused when you tap someone on the shoulder.
  2. 2
Pick a primary weapon. You may not like it, but shooting the medic is a perfectly viable strategy, but one that has blasters makes it far less effective. Your primary should be a small weapon, like the Retaliator with no barrel extension, or the Stryfe. Make sure that you can run at a good pace with it and that it doesn't get in the way of your hands when you're reviving someone.
    • Some games put weapons restrictions on medics due to them being able to revive people. Make sure to follow these rules.

  3. 3
Pick a secondary weapon. Your secondary is a backup for when you need to shoot one-handed while reviving someone. This weapon should be one you're comfortable with. A good example for a secondary weapon would be the Hammershot, Nailbiter or Doublestrike.
  4. 4
Get in shape. Even more than a normal nerfer, medics need to stay in shape. A medic needs to be able to run to a downed teammate quickly, and then needs to be able to get out quick as well. Make sure you can move fast over and around obstacles.
  5. 5
Practice dodging darts while moving. Because you'll be running more as a medic, that means more darts that will be coming at you will be when you're running. If you can dodge darts when running, this means sprints are less dangerous.
  6. 6
Never go running off on your own. You are a more valuable target than the rest of your friends. Staying with two or three people not only helps you by having some impromptu meat-shields in case of an ambush, but also helps them by having you within arm's reach to quickly revive them.
  7. 7
Be able to revive people quickly if you use the candy method. Get a system down where you can revive them in under ten seconds. Having your pistol out while reviving also helps, so you can fend off enemies who want to take you down.
  8. 8
Try not to get downed yourself. If you get downed, then the other medic on your team will have to revive you or your team will be without a medic. Don't get involved in heavy conflict without having some more troops with you.
  9. 9
Get help for people who are legitimately injured. If someone is actually hurt, call out "Hold!" and call emergency services as needed if they are seriously injured (e.g., unconsciousness, broken bones, deep cuts).
    • If you have training in first aid, try to apply it. If you aren't qualified, however, do not. Improper first aid can often make a condition worse.

Yes. Destroy them. Destroy their team. Destroy their self-esteem (actually, don't do that). But maybe give them a bit of a chance first before commencing with the noob wreckage.
  • Question
Can a medic use a Tri-Strike with no attachments and a Stryfe as a secondary?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
It is really whatever feels right to you. It is better if you only need one hand to shoot it. The Stryfe is a good idea because you only need one hand to reload and shoot.
  • Question
Can I use a scope with a Jolt?

Jolts don't have a tactical rail to put a scope on. Some good ideas for weapons that a medic can use are Hammershot (smaller, can be operated one-handed, decent capacity, quieter), Stryfe (able to be operated one-handed, smallish, glorious magazines for quick reloads) and Mediator (able to be slung, can use magazines, slam-fire to fend off ambushes).
