How to Clean Resin from a Glass Pipe

There are many ways to use marijuana. One popular way is to use a glass pipe. Easy to make and not too expensive to buy, cleaning them is a snap with a little alcohol.

Steps

    Get your pipe that you want to clean.

    Get your container that you are going to put the pipe into and put an inch or two of the alcohol.

    Add 2 to 3 tablespoons (29.6 to 44.4 ml) of the salt. The reason the salt is useful because it takes a lot longer to dissolve in the alcohol.

    Put the pipe into the container and shake it. This is why it needs to be plastic with a leakproof lid.

    After a few minutes, take it out and use any of the recommended tools that you might have.

    Go back to shaking it. If you would like, let it sit there for a while.

    Take it out of the container and rinse thoroughly. Rinse very thoroughly.

Things You'll Need

  • 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (91%, not 70%)
  • Large grained salt, like kosher salt
  • Plastic container with lid (leak proof is a good idea)
  • Toothpicks, Q-tips, pipe cleaners, etc.
