A step-by-step guide to using the mass editor and deleting multiple posts on Tumblr

Deleting a single post on Tumblr is pretty straightforward and easy. But what if you have more to delete? Luckily you can delete multiple Tumblr posts at once from an almost hidden menu.

Steps

  1. 1
Log in to Tumblr and visit your Dashboard.
  2. 2
Click on the Account button, represented by the person-shaped icon. It will be found at top right corner of your screen. A drop-down menu should appear.

  3. 3
Click on Posts. It will be one of the options in the expanded menu. Once you've done that, you will be redirected to a list of all your posts.
  4. 4
Look to the right side. You will see a small button labelled Mass Post Editor.
  5. 5
Click Mass Post Editor. All the posts will be displayed as tiles. Here, you can filter your posts based on months.
  6. 6
Select all the posts you want to delete until you are satisfied with your selections.
    • If you want to delete your whole blog, and want to avoid clicking on lots of things, use this code snippet:
      • $(".highlight").slice(0, 100).click();
    • Hit Ctrl+Shift+J and paste this code into the console. Press Return. This code will select the first 100 posts for you!
  7. 7
Hit the Delete button at top right corner.
    • A confirmation popup will soon appear.
  8. 8
Hit OK and all your selected posts will be deleted instantly.
