This is a guide on how to get Lucario by evolving Riolu in Pokémon Pearl.

Steps

  1. 1
Head to Canalave City and cross the bridge.
  2. 2
Go south. You should see a sailor and a boat, which can take you to Iron Island.

  3. 3
Talk to the sailor. He should ask you if you want to set sail.
  4. 4
When you arrive, go up both flights of stairs leading to the cave, and enter.
  5. 5
Once it takes you into the cave, you will see two flights of stairs leading down. Take the right one.
  6. 6
The next part of the cave will have some obstacles blocking some paths. Maneuver your trainer to the platform on the southeast part of the cave, and wait until the platform sinks onto the lower floor.
  7. 7
You will see to flights of stairs leading down again. Take the left one.
  8. 8
Talk to your partner, then find your way down to another platform and ride it down onto the lower floor.
  9. 9
Go through the doorway on your left and take the platform there up. Your partner should give you an egg that will hatch into Riolu here. Exit the cave through the left doorway.
  10. 10
Make the egg hatch by walking around with it in your party Pokémon. When it hatches, you will have a Riolu.
  11. 11
    Make your Riolu happier.
  12. 12
Have your Riolu gain a level. Your Riolu should evolve into a Lucario.
