College students, travelers, and those with limited kitchen space are always on the lookout for ways and methods that allow them to make a successful meal without the usual kitchen appliances, such as stoves and ovens.

Even a coffee maker can be put to good use making a meal – ideal for that hotel room or poky dorm! Follow these simple instructions to make ramen noodles using a coffee maker.

Steps

  1. 1
Crumble the ramen noodles in the package. Smaller pieces are easier to heat up rather than an entire block.
  2. 2
Add the pieces to the carafe. Make sure that any block pieces are evenly placed so that they're not stacking on top of each other.

  3. 3
Add the seasoning. Put the seasoning into the coffee filter. Add about 2 cups (475 ml) of water into the reservoir of the coffee maker.
  4. 4
Turn the coffee maker on and wait for your ramen to be done. Remove and throw away the used coffee filter.
  5. 5
Carefully pour the noodles and water into your bowl. The coffee pot will be hot, so do this with care.
  6. 6
Add any desired toppings to your ramen noodles. Serve and enjoy!

Warnings

  • If you're in hotel accommodation, be sure that it's not against hotel policy to be cooking in your room. Clean the coffee maker thoroughly after use so that the next guest doesn't get an unpleasant surprise! It's also advisable to add the flavoring to your bowl and not the coffee maker if the coffee maker isn't your own – the next guest might have an allergy to the flavoring contents.
