Ahuran District

Ahuran District (Persian: بخش آهوران) is in Nik Shahr County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Chanef.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Chanef Rural District of the former Lashar District), was 10,497 in 2,490 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 11,394 people in 2,830 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 9,964 inhabitants in 2,717 households, by which time most of Lashar District was separated from the county to form Lashar County[6] and Chanef Rural District was elevated to the status of Ahuran District and divided into two rural districts.[2][3]
