Chanef Rural District

Chanef Rural District (Persian: دهستان چانف) is in Ahuran District of Nik Shahr County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Chanef.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 10,497 in 2,490 households, when it was in the former Lashar District.[4] There were 11,394 inhabitants in 2,830 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 9,964 in 2,717 households. The largest of its 75 villages was Chanef (now a city),[6] with 417 people.[2] By the time of the census, the rural district had become a part of the newly formed Ahuran District.[3]
