Beris, Sistan and Baluchestan

Beris (Persian: بريس, also Romanized as Berīs; also known as Berīs-e Bālā)[3] is a city the Central District of Dashtiari County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,356 in 477 households, when it was a village in the former Dashtiari District of Chabahar County .[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,428 people in 800 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,488 people in 863 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Beris achieved city status.[4] In 2018, Dashtiari District was elevated to the status of a county and divided into the Central and Bahu Kalat Districts, with four rural districts and the city of Negur as its capital.[7]
