Central District (Dashtiari County)

The Central District of Dashtiari County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان دشتیاری) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Negur.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Dashtiari District of Chabahar County) was 33,335 in 6,288 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 42,097 people in 8,425 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 45,163 inhabitants in 9,960 households.[2]

In 2018, Dashtiari District was elevated to the status of a county and divided into the Central and Bahu Kalat Districts, with four rural districts and the city of Negur as its capital.[3]
