Eshaqabad District

Eshaqabad District (Persian: بخش اسحاق‌آباد) is in Zeberkhan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Eshaqabad.[3][4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as Eshaqabad Rural District of the former Zeberkhan District of Nishapur County) was 10,110 in 2,618 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 10,623 people in 3,178 households.[6] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 11,234 inhabitants in 3,437 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county and divided into the Central and Eshaqabad Districts, the latter including the newly formed Heshmatiyeh Rural District.[3][4] The village of Eshaqabad has been elevated to the status of a city.[7]
