Eshaqabad Rural District

Eshaqabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان اسحق آباد) is in Eshaqabad District of Zeberkhan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[3][4] Its capital is the city of Eshaqabad.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 10,110 in 2,618 households, when it was in the former Zeberkhan District of Nishapur County.[5] There were 10,623 inhabitants in 3,178 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 11,234 in 3,437 households. The largest of its 67 villages was Eshaqabad (now a city),[7] with 417 people.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county and divided into the Central and Eshaqabad Districts, the latter including the newly formed Heshmatiyeh Rural District.[3][4] The village of Eshaqabad has been elevated to the status of a city.[7]
