Ganjevan, Ilam

Ganjevan (Persian: گنجوان, also Romanized as Ganjevān; also known as Kanjavān)[3] is a village in Boli Rural District of Boli District, Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran, and services as capital of the district.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 349 in 82 households, when it was in the former Chavar District of Ilam County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 378 people in 83 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 292 people in 80 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Chavar County, and divided into two districts and four rural districts.[4]
