Asemanabad
Asemanabad (Persian: آسمان آباد, also Romanized as Āsemānābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Asemanabad District of Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 5,899 in 1,136 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,889 people in 1,324 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 6,280 people in 1,660 households.[2] The city is populated by Kurds.[7]
After the census, Asemanabad Rural District and Asemanabad were separated from the Central District, elevated to the status of a district, and divided into two rural districts, including the newly established Kol Kol Rural District. At the same time, Halehsam Rural District was established in the Central District.[4]
