Qaleh Rural District (Chardavol County)

Qaleh Rural District (Persian: دهستان قلعه) is in Zagros District of Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Shalah Kosh. Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in Bijnavand Rural District of the Central District.[3]

At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,937 in 577 households, by which time Bijnavand Rural District had been separated from the district in the establishment of Zagros District.[3] The largest of its 17 villages was Shalah Kosh, with 773 people.[2]
