Asemanabad District
Asemanabad District (Persian: بخش آسمان آباد) is in Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Asemanabad.[3][4]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Asemanabad Rural District and the city of Asemanabad) was 12,310 in 2,406 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 12,164 people in 2,804 households.[6] At the latest census in 2016, there were 12,175 inhabitants in 3,320 households.[2]
After the census, Asemanabad Rural District and Asemanabad were separated from the Central District, elevated to the status of a district, and divided into two rural districts, including the newly established Kol Kol Rural District. At the same time, Halehsam Rural District was established in the Central District.[4]
