Garakan Rural District

Garakan Rural District (Persian: دهستان گركان) is in the Central District of Ashtian County, Markazi province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 4,224 in 1,134 households.[3] There were 2,773 inhabitants in 989 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,603 in 959 households. The largest of its 13 villages was Garakan, with 660 people.[2]
