At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,916 in 893 households.[3] There were 3,233 inhabitants in 922 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,991 in 927 households. The largest of its 17 villages was Gonbad, with 1,654 people.[2]
