Qasemabad, Hamadan

Qasemabad (Persian: قاسم اباد, also Romanized as Qāsemābād and Qāsimābād)[3] is a village in Hegmataneh Rural District of the Central District of Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 5,661 in 1,447 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 8,382 people in 2,394 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,125 people in 2,574 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

The 14th-century author Hamdallah Mustawfi listed Qasemabad as one of the main villages in the Farivar district under Hamadan.[6]
