Sheverin

Sheverin (Persian: شورين, also Romanized as Sheverīn, Shavarīn, Shawarīn, Shevarīn, and Shūrīn)[3] is a village in Sangestan Rural District of the Central District of Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,870 in 1,034 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,445 people in 1,255 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,473 people in 1,347 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

In 1906 Abraham Valentine Williams Jackson described Sheverin as an Armenian village where there were fine gardens.[6]
