Jannatabad, Salehabad
Jannatabad (Persian: جنت اباد, also Romanized as Jannatābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Jannatabad District of Salehabad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,651 in 377 households, when it was a village in Jannatabad Rural District of the former Salehabad District of Torbat-e Jam County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,647 people in 360 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,261 people in 363 households.[2]
After the census, Salehabad District was separated from Torbat-e Jam County, and elevated to the status of Salehabad County. Jannatabad Rural District was separated from the new Central District to form Jannatabad District, containing the newly established Ostay Rural District.[4] The village of Jannatabad has been elevated to the status of a city.[7]
