Ostay Rural District
Ostay Rural District (Persian: دهستان استای) is in Jannatabad District of Salehabad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Kariz Kohandel,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 1,598 in 395 households.[3]

Prior to its formation, the rural district's constituent villages were in Jannatabad Rural District of the former Salehabad District of Torbat-e Jam County. After the census, the district was separated from the county and elevated to the status of Salehabad County. Jannatabad Rural District was separated from the new Central District to form Jannatabad District, containing the newly established Ostay Rural District.[2]
