Kuran-e Sofla

Kuran-e Sofla (Persian: كوران سفلي, also Romanized as Kūrān-e Soflá and Kooran Soofla; also known as Kūrān-e Pā‘īn)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Damen Rural District of Damen District, Iranshahr County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,384 in 216 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,023 people in 255 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 910 people in 246 households.[2]

After the census, Damen Rural District was elevated to the status of a district and divided into two rural districts with the village of Zehlenfan as its capital.[4]
