Poshtkuh Rural District (Khash County)

Poshtkuh Rural District (Persian: دهستان پشتكوه) is in Poshtkuh District of Khash County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Afzalabad.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 13,612 in 2,469 households, when it was in the Central District.[4] There were 12,237 inhabitants in 2,783 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 13,587 in 3,920 households. The largest of its 157 villages was Shahrak-e Posht Giaban, with 1,223 people.[2]

After the census, the rural district was elevated to the status of a district and divided into two rural districts.[3]
