At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,656 in 1,133 households.[3] There were 3,288 inhabitants in 1,114 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,016 in 1,161 households. The largest of its 31 villages was Joftan, with 382 people.[2]
