Shahrak-e Ali Akbar

Shahrak-e Ali Akbar (Persian: شهرک علي اکبر) is a city in Teymurabad District of Hamun County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,681 in 1,121 households, when it was a village in the former Shib Ab District of Zabol County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 4,551 people in 1,253 households, by which time the village had risen to the status of a city.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,779 people in 1,392 households.[2]

By the time of the census, Shib Ab District had been separated from Zabol County to form Hamun County. It was then divided into the Central and Teymurabad Districts.[5]
