Shirvan District (Borujerd County)

Shirvan District (Persian: بخش شیروان) is in Borujerd County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Shirvan.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as the former Shirvan Rural District of the Central District) was 21,710 in 5,351 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 22,948 people in 6,475 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 21,662 inhabitants in 6,462 households.[2]

After the census, Shirvan Rural District was separated from the Central District, renamed Shirvan-e Sharqi Rural District, and along with the newly created Shirvan-e Gharbi Rural District established Shirvan District.[3]
