Somghan Rural District
Somghan Rural District (Persian: دهستان سمغان)[3] is in the Central District of Kuhchenar County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Somghan.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Chenar Shahijan District of Kazerun County) was 8,171 in 1,719 households.[5] There were 8,434 inhabitants in 2,220 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 9,092 in 2,528 households. The largest of its 18 villages was Malay-e Anbar, with 4,594 people.[2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Kuhchenar County.[4]
