Zamkan District
Zamkan District (Persian: بخش زمکان) is in Salas-e Babajani County, Kermanshah province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mirabad.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Zamkan Rural District of the Central District) was 6,998 in 1,495 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 6,213 people in 1,466 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 5,070 inhabitants in 1,301 households.[2]
In 2019, Zamkan Rural District's name was changed to Zamkan-e Jonubi Rural District and became, along with the new Zamkan-e Shomali Rural District, a part of the newly established Zamkan District.[3]
