Usage notes
весь (vesʹ) and its various forms can be used both as adjectives and as pronouns. As adjectives, the forms of весь (vesʹ) correspond roughly to the English adjectives all and every. When used as pronouns, все (vse) means everyone, and всё (vsjo) means everything or all. For example,
- Он сиди́т за компью́тером весь день. ― On sidít za kompʹjútɛrom vesʹ denʹ. ― He sits at the computer all day.
- Всё хорошо́, что хорошо́ конча́ется. ― Vsjó xorošó, što xorošó končájetsja. ― All’s well that ends well.
