вирь
Erzya
Etymology
Cognate with Moksha вирь (virʹ), Southern Sami vaarr', Eastern Mari -ер (-jer), Komi-Zyrian вӧр (vör) and Mansi вор (wōr). Possibly cognate with Lule Sami vierra, Northern Sami [Term?] (vierrâ).[1] EES, however, lists Erzya верь- (verʹ-, “up”) as a cognate of the Lule Sami term and Estonian veer (“edge”).[2]
