יחיד

יָחִיד • (yakhíd) (feminine יְחִידָה‎, masculine plural יְחִידִים‎, feminine plural יְחִידוֹת‎)

     ‏וַיֹּאמֶר קַח־נָא אֶת־בִּנְךָ אֶת־יְחִידְךָ אֲשֶׁר־אָהַבְתָּ אֶת־יִצְחָק וְלֶךְ־לְךָ אֶל־אֶרֶץ הַמֹּרִיָּה וְהַעֲלֵהוּ שָׁם לְעֹלָה עַל אַחַד הֶהָרִים אֲשֶׁר אֹמַר אֵלֶיךָ׃‎‎

     vayómer kakh-ná 'et-bin'khá 'et-y'khid'khá 'asher-'ahávta 'et-yitskhák v'lékh-l'khá 'el-'érets hamoriyá v'ha'aléhu shám l'olá 'ál 'akhád heharím 'ashér 'omár 'elékha.
     wayyṓmer qaḥ-nā ʾeṯ-binəḵā ʾeṯ-yəḥīḏəḵā ʾăšer-ʾāhaḇtā ʾeṯ-yiṣḥāq wəleḵ-ləḵā ʾel-ʾéreṣ hammōriyyā wəhaʿălḗhū šām ləʿōlā ʿal ʾaḥaḏ hehārīm ʾăšer ʾōmar ʾēléḵā.

     And He said: ‘Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.’

     ‏הַזּוֹרֵק מֵרְשׁוּת הַיָּחִיד לִרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים אוֹ מֵרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים לִרְשׁוּת הַיָּחִיד חַיָּב. מֵרְשׁוּת הַיָּחִיד לִרְשׁוּת הַיָּחִיד וּרְשׁוּת הָרַבִּים בָּאֶמְצַע רַבְּי עֲקִיבָה מְחַיֵּב וַחֲכָמִים פּוֹטְרִין׃‎‎

     One who throws [on the Sabbath] from the private domain to the public domain or from the public domain to the private domain is liable; [if one throws] from the private domain to the private domain and [passing through] the public domain in the middle—Rabbi Akiva finds [him] liable, but the sages find [him] exempt.
