Stuck on names for your Littlest Pet Shops? This article was created to help you. Names can base around a single thing, from a colour to a natural element to your pet's personality.
Steps
Method 1
Method 1 of 3:
Base the name around what the pet acts like
-
1Think of things that link to the pets personality, looks and hobbies. What colour are they? What kind of things do they like? Keep these things in your mind, some pets may not suit a name because of the species, for example you wouldn’t call a cat Bone.
-
2Once you've thought of linking words, think of some other words that connect. For example, if you have an orange LPS, you could get fire from orange and from fire you can get Blaze, Flame, Spark, Ash, Cinder. If you're stuck with this type of thing, consider the other options.Advertisement

3From a colour comes everything. Colours are really helpful in a naming situation. If your pet has blue eyes, you could look up some shades of blue. If you find a nice sounding name for a shade of the colour of your choosing, you could give it to your LPS as their name. Google some other shades of colours.
- Some shades of blue are- Azure, Ocean Blue, Sky Blue and Cyan.
- Some shades of purple are- Violet, Indigo, Grape and Lilac.
-
4Name your pet after a plant or flower. Think of your pets personality-- if it were snappy, you wouldn't call it Petal, would you? It would more likely be Thorn or Thistle than Petal. Don't know any plants or flowers? Search some up or go outside.
-
5Think of any object or item, but make it reasonable. You could use objects such as a piano or cushion or a book to help give you inspiration for pet names.

Method 2
Method 2 of 3:
Using Human Names
-
1Use a human name for your LPS. Names such as Rachel or Kristine for girls, and Luke and Ray for boys. You could also use unisex names like Reece, Alex and Jess.
-
2Research possibilities online. Websites like 2000 Names or Baby Names may help. They have huge lists of names for you to use, male and female. They even have names from different countries.
-
3Think about where your pet is from. Maybe it's from Japan or maybe even Italy? Look up names from the country you choose. Sometimes they lost meanings as well, so keep meanings in mind as well. Don't have a tough husky having a name meaning 'flower' or 'beauty', for example.

Method 3
Method 3 of 3:
Using Names from Books/TV/Movies etc.
-
1Think of your favourite movie, book, TV show, singer etc. You could use their name, it always makes names funnier.
-
2Make it your own. If you don't want to copy a character name exactly, you can tweak it. Maybe only their first name, or if it's a double parted name, use one part of it, and use their last name.
