There are times when you are done with a Facebook conversation, and you want to delete it. While currently it is only possible to delete Facebook messages on your computer, you can archive messages from Facebook Mobile so they are out of sight until you can delete a message or the entire conversation later. This article will show you how.

Steps

  1. 1
Go to Messages. From the top left corner of any page, tap the Menu icon.
  2. 2
Tap the Messages button. In the left hand column, locate the Messages button, then give it a tap. It will open a history of your conversations.

Community Q&A

  • Question
How do I delete a message I put to others so that he can't see it again?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
It depends. Instagram messaging allows you to delete your messages from both chats. Snapchat is kind of the same concept, with disappearing messages, but they can be saved and screenshotted (almost all messaging platforms can be screenshotted). iMessage, SMS(android) and messenger all are irreversible and once the message is sent, you can't un-send it.
