By combining the easy-to-follow steps and copying the illustrations, you can perfect your farmer drawing skills. For the moment, it's a man farmer. (Perhaps you can lend wikiHow a hand and add some female farmer illustrations at a later stage.)
Steps
-
1Draw a head for the farmer. Draw a semi-circle in the same style as a smile. Add eyes, nose and mouth. Add a hat at the top of the semi-circle and don't forget to add the ears. In the example, we've added a mustache to make the farmer look older - you can have a young farmer if you'd prefer. Or, you might like to add pigtails and a Cupid's bow mouth to create a female farmer at this point.
-
2Draw the farmer's body. Remember, clothing details like the bib overall and the knee patch are essential for making him (or her) look like a farmer and not just an ordinary person on the street.Advertisement
-
3Draw some kind of farmer's tool. A pitchfork is very symbolic and immediately communicates that this is a farmer (either that, or he's the devil). Again, the details are everything, so don't forget the patch and perhaps a straw being chewed in the mouth.
-
4Color it. If you feel like it, color your drawing.

About This Article
To draw a simple, cartoony farmer, start by drawing a half-circle to represent the farmer’s face. Add a hat on top, then fill in features like the eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. Sketch in a simple body for the farmer and add details such as a button-down shirt and bib overalls with a patch on the knee. You can also give your farmer some kind of agricultural tool, such as a pitchfork, a rake, or a hoe. When you’re done, erase any sketch lines and ink in your drawing if you like. You can also add color to your picture if you want. For example, if your farmer is wearing a straw hat, make it tan or yellow, and color the overalls blue. Give the shirt a checkered or plaid pattern to make it look like flannel.
