How to Kill Nilsine Shatter Shield in Skyrim

Travel to Windhelm. Starting from Whiterun (the city where you start the game), take the road found on the northern side of the city and head east. Stay on this road until you reach Valtheim Towers (a ruined tower) where the road splits into two. Take the left path, moving north, and stay on it; this will lead you directly to the city of Windhelm.

Enter the city. Windhelm is a large stone city built at the foot of the mountains. To enter it, take the large stone bridge you see on the area, which leads to the large stone gates of the city. Walk towards the stone gates to enter Windhelm.

Look for the Halls of the Dead. The Halls of the Dead is where you can find Nilsine Shatter-Shield. Starting from the city gates, walk to the center of the city and right past the Argonian Assemblage you see at the center of the area. You should see a stone door labeled “The Temple of Talos” on the left-hand side.

• Enter the Temple of Talos through the stone door and make your way straight to the end of the room where you’ll find a wooden door. Enter through the wooden door and you should arrive at the Halls of the Dead.

Kill Nilsine Shatter-Shield. Inside the Halls of the Dead you’ll find a single woman with golden-brown hair in a grey-and-white dress. This is Nilsine Shatter-Shield. Once you see her, you can immediately attack her with any weapon or magic spell your character is using to kill her. Nilsine Shatter-Shield has a very low life point and can be killed with only one strike of your sword.

• You don’t need to talk to her to meet the requirement of the “Mourning Never Comes” quest. You can simply finish her off as soon as you spot her.
